Hi there!

I’m Janna, a Filipina-American writer and video producer based in Los Angeles, CA. I love to tell stories that are grounded in the multiplicity of the Asian-American experience. Currently, I work as a Lead Video Producer at BuzzFeed, where I lead video and content strategy for A*Pop, BuzzFeed’s Asian-American identity brand. When I’m not making videos, I write short films and TV pilots that explore my Filipina-American identity and culture through heartwarming coming-of-age stories. My work has been featured in the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, San Diego Filipino Film Festival, and NewFilmmakers LA.
